Meet Your Innkeepers

Chris Kennedy and Sarah Bradburn, partners in life and in business, decided early in 2018 that it was time to make a change. Each had grown weary of their career paths and decided that it was time to work for themselves. It was then that Sarah came up with the idea of owning and operating a bed and breakfast. The Inn on Main in Yarmouth Port, MA provided the opportunity to leverage both of their skillsets and provide a place for the experienced-based traveler to enjoy a relaxing environment, a great breakfast and a really great place to sleep.

Chris Kennedy

Chris grew up on Long Island, NY and then attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass to study jazz composition and arrangement. He then felt the call to serve our nation and joined the Marines where he served 4 years of active duty and 2 more in the reserves. He made his way back to Massachusetts and lived in Worcester for 10 years. The next few decades found Chris following the work in various cities performing managerial work in both cable TV and eventually telecommunications/broadband. He found himself in Texas, California, Wisconsin, Kentucky and Colorado where he met Sarah. The Inn on Main has brought him “home” to Massachusetts.

Chris is the chef of the Bed and Breakfast and truly enjoys preparing delicious meals for guests and family. He has spent years perfecting many recipes that he now shares with guests.

When not in the kitchen, you can often find Chris working on something needing fixing in the inn, or, playing the piano or his saxophone in the library of the inn.

Chris has 2 sons, both currently living in Texas and shares 7 grandsons with Innkeeper Sarah. He loves the ocean, sailing, swimming, biking, hiking, traveling and a good scotch or bourbon!

Sarah Bradburn

Sarah grew up in Wisconsin – a great place to grow up. She then moved to California and began both a family and a career in grocery. Sensing the change in the grocery business, she went back to school to earn her degree to teach. She spent the next 11 years teaching mostly middle school science. After California’s brief brush with bankruptcy, she was one of 35,000 teachers laid off, so she picked a new career in real estate. Then came the great crash of the real estate market in 2008/2009. After 3 years of trying to make a go at real estate while substitute teaching, she decided to follow her parents and brother and move to Colorado. She was able to resume her teaching career, once again teaching middle school science and social studies. She recently retired after 23 years in education. During their time in Colorado, Sarah and Chris met, fell in love and have shared much in their 10 years together.

You can find Sarah tidying up rooms, doing laundry or out in the yard pulling weeds or dead heading plants. She also enjoys shopping to find that perfect piece for that one spot in the inn.

Sarah has 2 children who both reside in southern California. She shares a total of 7 grandsons with Chris. The beach is her happy place. Her favorite activities include hiking, biking, traveling and sipping her special tequila!
