At The Inn on Main, hospitality is heartfelt, personal, and deeply rooted in community. Your hosts, Ruta and David Gordon, delight in welcoming guests with genuine warmth and care, believing that from the moment you arrive, you should feel completely at home.

After more than 30 years each in meaningful careers in education and leadership, Ruta and David followed a shared dream of innkeeping—creating a place where comfort, connection, and thoughtful details come together effortlessly. Their home has long been a gathering place for joyous celebrations, from Thanksgiving feasts and Rosh Hashanah dinners to lively Holi festivities. Welcoming others has always been at the center of their lives.

Ruta and David are proud parents of two daughters who share their commitment to service, education, and community. During your stay, you may meet their eldest, Anjali, a farmer and food justice advocate who lovingly tends the inn’s gardens, or their youngest, Kavita, an elementary special education teacher whose creativity and joyful spirit occasionally bring a bit of fun (and maybe even a TikTok moment!) to the house.

Together, the Gordon family has created an inn where guests feel cared for, relaxed, and truly at ease—like staying with old friends.
